Self-Expression Through Art
Our 8-week term sessions for teens offer a supportive space to explore self-expression through art. They will be treated to classes run by 2 of the South West’s most respected artists in their specialist fields. Bee Denham will be doing 4 weeks of watercolour techniques, whilst Janice Florczyk will teach 4 weeks of Graphie and coloured pencil techniques. Using Around the World as a flexible theme, students are encouraged to follow their interests while building on their strengths and developing a personal style.
An A5 visual diary is used as both a sketchbook and journal, allowing ideas to develop freely without pressure for perfection. Lessons focus on creative confidence, working through blocks, and developing an individual artistic voice.
Students begin a final piece by Week 4 and complete their own artwork by the end of the program, with the option to be included in our end of year exhibition. They will also be presented with the possibility of being part of an entrepreneurial youth market in November.
